Pricing partner to underwriting

Closer to an underwriting-partner role than a modelling-heavy IC position because pricing judgments are tied to live underwriting actions and portfolio strategy.

Associate-level P&C pricing and underwriting-support role in AIG’s Casualty Specialty Markets, based in Jersey City, NJ. You’ll support Commercial Auto Liability, Energy and Environmental portfolios through profitability analysis, rating, reporting, portfolio strategy and large-account reviews. The role requires ACAS, at least five years of commercial-lines experience, and includes one direct report.

Requirements

Must have

  • Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS)
  • At least 5 years of commercial lines actuarial experience

Strongly preferred

  • Significant commercial auto pricing experience
  • Exceptional communication skills, including ability to develop and present clear analysis to senior management
  • Willingness to continuously learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
  • Timeliness and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Snowflake, Python, R, or other programming languages
