Actuarial data and analytics crossover

Closer to a data-science crossover than a modelling-heavy IC role because data processing, automation, and integrity controls outweigh ownership of a standalone actuarial model.

Associate-level Life actuarial role in Radnor, Pennsylvania, with additional office locations available. You’ll support experience studies, policyholder behavior and morbidity assumptions, data processing, controls, reporting, and process automation for pricing, valuation, and risk management. The hybrid arrangement requires three days per week in a Lincoln office.

Requirements

Must have

  • Undergraduate degree; concentration in Actuarial Science preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of actuarial or data analytics experience

Strongly preferred

  • ASA designation
  • Analytical skills: ability to think critically, identify and solve potential challenges independently
  • Ability to synthesize large volumes of data to extract insights and identify data anomalies
  • Hands on SQL, Python, or any other programming languages
  • Ability to bring innovative thinking to improve current processes
  • Priority setting, time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)

Nice to have

  • Life product knowledge
  • General insurance/business knowledge
  • Experience studies and/or data management experience
  • Proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, Dask) for large-scale data processing
  • Familiarity with version control tools (Git, GitLab, GitHub)
