Closer to a reserving cycle role than a pricing partnership role—the recurring reserve reviews and financial close deliverables define the work, despite regular underwriting interaction.

Associate P&C actuarial role in AIG’s centralized reserving team supporting Private Client Select in Chicago. You’ll perform reserve reviews, trend and claims-emergence analysis, quarter-close and year-end reporting, and collaborate with Pricing, Claims, Underwriting, and Data and Technology teams. The role is primarily office-based and suited to an ACAS or near-ACAS with at least three years of P&C experience.

Requirements

Strongly preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  • 3+ years of P&C actuarial experience
  • Reserving experience strongly preferred
  • ACAS credential or near-ACAS completion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with VBA, SQL, Snowflake, or other programming languages
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs
