Quarterly reserving and reporting
Closer to a reserving cycle role than a capital strategy role: quarterly liability estimates and financial implementation define the cadence, not ORSA or capital work.
Associate-level P&C reserving role in Uber’s Commercial Auto insurance function, based in New York. You’ll estimate unpaid claims liabilities, support quarterly reserving, build claims analytics and visualization tools, and present findings to actuarial, claims, finance, and insurance leaders. The role requires 4+ CAS exams, at least 3 years of P&C experience, and a hybrid schedule with at least 50% in-office time.
Requirements
Must have
- 4+ CAS exams passed
- Minimum 3 years Property & Casualty actuarial experience
- Proficient in Excel
- Proficient in SQL or similar querying language
- BA/BS in Math, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science or similar field
Strongly preferred
- ACAS or FCAS designation
- Experience with commercial or personal auto insurance
Nice to have
- Motivation to dive into details and learn complex topics from first principles
- Great communication and organization skills, ability to multitask and be a team player
- Balance attention to detail with swift and practical execution
- Drive to learn complex topics
- Experience working cross functionally with claims and finance
- Experience with Python, R, or similar coding languages
