Closer to a pricing and business partner than a modelling-heavy IC because the ad stresses programme optimization and cross-functional decisions, not model ownership.
Associate-level P&C pricing role in San Francisco supporting Uber’s commercial and personal auto insurance program. You’ll produce actuarial estimates, improve data and forecasting processes, and work with risk, legal, and finance stakeholders. The hybrid role requires at least 3 years of P&C experience, 4+ CAS exams, and SQL proficiency.
Requirements
Must have
- Minimum of 3 years of property and casualty insurance experience
Strongly preferred
- 4+ CAS exams passed
- BA/BS in Math, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science or similar
- Proficient with Excel
- Proficient with SQL or similar querying language
- ACAS/FCAS designation, or equivalent
- Experience with R, Python or similar coding languages
- Experience with commercial or personal auto insurance
- Great communication and organization skills, ability to multitask and be a team player
- Balance attention to detail with swift and practical execution
- Drive to learn complex topics
- Enthusiasm about Uber!
