Capital and financial risk strategist
Closer to capital and enterprise risk strategy than a reserving or pricing-cycle role, because it integrates multiple risk lenses and governance frameworks.
Executive-level Life actuarial financial risk role supporting Bermuda captive reinsurance. You will coordinate capital, ALM, credit, pricing, insurance and model risk, using BSCR and Economic Capital frameworks while advising senior leadership. The role is based in Hamilton, Bermuda, with alternatives in New York, Bridgewater, or Whippany, and requires at least three office days per week.
Requirements
Must have
- Fellowship in an actuarial organization (FSA or equivalent)
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field
- 10+ years of experience in risk management, treasury, actuarial pricing, product development, investments, capital management, and/or reinsurance
Strongly preferred
- Self-starter with experience managing large projects across functions
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and hands-on experience
- AI fluency to effectively leverage emerging technologies
Nice to have
- Master's degree in a quantitative field
- Demonstrated success influencing stakeholders across complex, matrixed organizations
