People leader for a pricing function
A people-leadership role rather than a pricing-partner IC role—the ad makes team direction and succession central.
AVP-level Life actuarial leadership role in Addison, Texas, overseeing pricing strategy, governance, modelling, and portfolio performance for Individual Life products. You’ll lead the Life Pricing team, advise senior leadership, and balance profitability, risk, capital efficiency, and market competitiveness. The role is onsite four days per week.
Requirements
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related field
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation
- 12-15+ years of actuarial experience within life insurance industry
- Deep knowledge of Individual Life Insurance products, especially Indexed UL, Term, Whole Life
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing actuarial teams
Strongly preferred
- Significant experience in life insurance pricing or product development
- Strong familiarity with U.S. Stat, GAAP, and Tax regulations
- Experience developing and evaluating actuarial pricing models, assumptions, profitability analyses, financial projections
- Experience partnering across product management, underwriting, finance, distribution, risk management
- Ability to communicate complex actuarial matters and influence senior stakeholders
Nice to have
- Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (preferred)
- Proficiency with MG-ALFA
