Structured actuarial student internship

Closer to a structured student programme than an independent modelling role because assignments come with strong direction, support, and standard procedures.

College-level Health actuarial internship in Troy, Michigan, supporting actuarial studies, reports, and data analysis for a large health care and insurance organization. You will learn health insurance fundamentals, use Excel, SAS, and SQL-related tools, and complete assignments with supervisor support.

Requirements

Strongly preferred

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or closely related field
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Knowledge of actuarial principles, concepts, practices and processes
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in fast-paced environment

Nice to have

  • At least 1 actuarial exam passed
  • Experience with data visualization tools
