Role type

Structured actuarial student internship

Closer to a structured student programme than a modelling-heavy role because mentoring, workshops and broad assignments define the experience more than deep model ownership.

Paid 10-week Health actuarial internship in Binghamton, New York, for undergraduate or graduate students. Interns may support Medicare bid and rate filings, trend and reserve analyses, risk adjustment, capitation, forecasting, and regulatory work while receiving mentoring and development workshops.

Requirements

Must have

  • Must be in good academic standing

Strongly preferred

  • High school diploma and proof of continuous college enrollment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel across Health Plan service region

Nice to have

  • Desired majors include Mathematics, Economics, Actuarial, or Statistics
