Paid 10-week Health actuarial and analytics internship in Binghamton, New York, for undergraduate or graduate students. You’ll analyze medical claims, evaluate healthcare cost-saving opportunities, estimate financial impacts, and present findings while working with medical economics, clinical, and data analytics teams.

Requirements

Must have

Must be in good academic standing

Strongly preferred

High school diploma and proof of continuous full-time enrollment in a college degree program
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work well in a team
Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving and prioritization skills
Proactive approach with creativity and flexibility
Commitment to continuous improvement
Self-motivated and able to work independently and in teams
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Experience using a desktop computer in a professional environment
Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region

Nice to have

Desired majors: Actuarial, Statistics, Math, Economics or similar
Preferred experience with Excel, SAS, SQL, R, or Python
Experience communicating across various teams
