Role Summary

Role type

Enterprise actuarial transformation builder

Closer to transformation build than people leadership: enterprise project ownership and delivery are the defining features, not line management alone.

Director-level Life actuarial projects role in Omaha, Nebraska, with a four-day on-site schedule and one remote day. You will own enterprise-wide initiatives including VM-22 implementation, reporting transformations, governance frameworks, and cross-functional actuarial change, while leading a team of 3+ and partnering with senior leaders.

Requirements

Strongly preferred

8+ years of relevant experience in the life insurance or reinsurance industry
Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or equivalent professional qualification
Deep working knowledge of actuarial reporting frameworks
Experience operating as a product owner, delivery lead, or technical lead roles on projects-based work
Strong ability to synthesize complex technical topics into clear, decision-oriented messaging for senior leaders and non-actuarial stakeholders
Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and deliver results in a fast-paced, ambiguous, matrixed environment
Experience working with external stakeholders to drive results
People leadership experience (lead a team of 3+ individuals)

Nice to have

VM-22 expertise
Experience with actuarial modeling paired with a strong technical skillset
Strong project management and communication skills
Knowledge and awareness of insurance regulations and recent developments
