Director-level P&C actuarial role on The Hartford’s Personal Insurance actuarial team, focused primarily on Homeowners rate adequacy in Hartford, CT, with hybrid options in Chicago and Charlotte. You’ll lead a team, advance pricing methodologies, use statistical modeling and machine learning, and partner with Product, Claims, Reserving, and broader Property Actuarial teams.

Requirements

Must have

Undergraduate degree with a major in mathematics, actuarial science or related field
Minimum 5 years of property and casualty insurance actuarial experience
High proficiency in Excel

Strongly preferred

FCAS designation
Knowledge of actuarial pricing techniques
Experience with R and SQL
Effective oral and written communications skills
Independently motivated
Teamwork skills including ability to collaborate and influence

Nice to have

Homeowners experience is a plus
