Role type

Pricing partner to product leadership

Closer to a pricing partnership role than a modelling-heavy IC position because the analysis is meant to influence product decisions, approvals and profitable growth.

Senior P&C pricing role supporting The Hartford’s $3 billion Personal Auto and Home portfolio. You’ll analyze state-level rate indications, trends, loss development and catastrophe loads, then advise Pricing and Product Management leaders on profitability and rate filings. The role is hybrid in Hartford, Chicago, Charlotte or Columbus, with remote consideration for candidates outside those areas.

Requirements

Must have

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • ACAS or FCAS credential
  • Strong Excel skills

Strongly preferred

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in insurance/financial services
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail with strong time and project management skills
  • Driven, intellectually curious, passionate, resourceful, creative
  • Proactive, challenges processes, influences others, meets deadlines

Nice to have

  • Actuarial experience
  • Familiarity with Personal Lines products
  • Knowledge of SQL, VBA, R, Python, SAS or similar code languages
