Closer to client-facing consulting than a reserving cycle role—the defining feature is explaining valuation work and serving varied external plan sponsors.

Senior Health actuarial consulting role in Charlotte, North Carolina, supporting multiemployer, public-sector, and private clients with Health and OPEB plans. You’ll review valuations, liabilities, gains/loss analyses, pricing tools, and projection models while explaining results to non-technical clients. The hybrid role offers flexibility to work throughout the U.S., with occasional client travel.

Requirements

Must have

Bachelor's Degree
FSA or ASA designation with progress toward FSA

Strongly preferred

4+ years of pension actuarial experience
Proficiency in actuarial valuations including accounting reports, liability determination, funding analysis
Expertise with all aspects of Health and OPEB plans
Experience with GASB / multiemployer and/or public sector plans
Working knowledge of Taft-Hartley
Strong oral and written communication skills for non-technical audiences

Nice to have

Preferred experience in Proval, Access, SQL, and/or JAVA
