Lead Life Actuary role in a US-based, work-from-home consulting practice. You will lead regulatory consulting engagements involving statutory valuation and reserving, ALM, risk management, and life, annuity, and reinsurance products, while managing teams and developing client relationships.
Requirements
Must have
10+ years professional experience in Life insurance, financial services, or consulting
Some consulting experience required
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated with a sense of urgency
Strongly preferred
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, or Statistics
Knowledge of actuarial concepts including modeling, valuation, reserving, risk management, product development, pricing, ALM, life/annuity/reinsurance
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for reserving and rating
PC skills including Microsoft Office, TeamMate, ACL, Access, Visual Basic, Excel
Ability to lead discussions with all levels including executives and senior managers
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Dynamic/flexible demeanor with exceptional client service skills
Ability to travel occasionally
Ability to demonstrate ethical and professional standards
Nice to have
ASA, FSA, or MAAA designation
MBA and/or professional certification
