Client-facing actuarial consulting

Closer to client-facing consulting than a modelling-heavy individual-contributor role because communication, executive delivery and industry networking are central.

Manager/Senior Manager Life actuarial consulting role in Hartford, Connecticut, with hybrid work across Oliver Wyman’s US offices. You’ll advise annuity clients on product development, pricing, valuation, hedging and risk management while leading teams, workstreams and executive presentations.

Requirements

Must have

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience with annuity products

Strongly preferred

  • Hands-on involvement in pricing, product development, and/or inforce management
  • ASA or FSA credential
  • Knowledge of the annuity market landscape
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Demonstrated capability to lead teams and manage multiple workstreams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective organizational skills and focus on delivering results under deadlines

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of financial modeling systems or open-source scripting languages (AXIS, Prophet, R, Python)
