Unlike a carrier specialist or reserving-cycle role, this position is distinguished by external client ownership and revenue responsibility across varied engagements.

Director-level P&C actuarial consulting role in Philadelphia, with hybrid work across a broad US office network. You’ll lead complex client engagements spanning reserving, pricing, predictive analytics, and economic capital, while driving business development, AI-enabled modernization, and team development.

Requirements

Must have

  • ACAS or FCAS credential
  • BA/BS degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field
  • 10+ years actuarial consulting or insurance industry experience within Property & Casualty
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

Strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated success managing client relationships and leading complex engagements
  • Proven business development experience, including generating new opportunities and expanding client relationships
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, able to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence diverse audiences
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with client-oriented mindset

Nice to have

  • Experience leveraging AI technologies, automation tools, or advanced analytics within actuarial or consulting environments
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, SQL or similar analytical tools
  • Experience working with cross-functional technology or engineering teams
  • Thought leadership or industry visibility through publications, speaking engagements, or professional organizations
