Closer to client-facing consulting than a modelling-heavy IC role because the work spans varied advisory projects and client deliverables.

Entry-level Life actuarial analyst role in Oliver Wyman’s Life Practice, based in Chicago. You’ll support pricing, valuation, product development, assumption work, and model transformation across life, annuity, and long-term care projects, with client deliverables and a consulting-oriented project mix.

Requirements

Must have

  • At least 1 actuarial exam passed
  • Permanent unrestricted U.S. work authorization

Strongly preferred

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative mindset with ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Familiarity with at least one of R, Python, SQL, SAS, or VBA

Nice to have

  • Relevant experience in life insurance or actuarial work
