Client-facing actuarial consulting

Closer to client-facing consulting than a reserving cycle role—the project portfolio spans multiple advisory topics and client types rather than one recurring close process.

Manager-level Health actuarial consulting role in Chicago, focused on valuation and reserving across medical and other accident and health products. You’ll support client projects involving captive programs, capital management, M&A, ERM, regulatory work, pricing, and product strategy. The role is hybrid, with at least three days per week in the office or onsite with clients.

Requirements

Must have

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or related field
Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
Willingness to work in a hybrid model (3 days per week in office)
Work authorization without sponsorship

Strongly preferred

Significant progress with actuarial exams, ASA/FSA preferred
5+ years of actuarial experience in health insurance or healthcare provider market
Exceptional organizational and time management skills
Project management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team setting
Deep critical-thinking and problem-solving ability
