Client-facing health actuarial consultant

Closer to client-facing consulting than an in-house pricing role because project variety and external client interaction drive the work.

Senior Manager-level Health actuarial consulting role in Washington, DC, with a hybrid three-days-per-week office pattern. You’ll advise Medicare Advantage clients on Part C and D bids, pricing, product development, claims analysis, and risk arrangements while leading complex workstreams and developing team members.

Requirements

Must have

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, Finance or related field
  • ASA or FSA credentials

Strongly preferred

  • 7+ years of actuarial experience in Medicare Advantage industry
  • Ability to manage medium-to-large scale projects autonomously
  • Track record of rapid learning and high performance
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting
  • Deep critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Highly motivated and willing to work in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, SAS, SQL, R, Python, VBA or other programming languages
