Client-facing actuarial consulting internship

Closer to client-facing consulting than a modelling-heavy internship because project variety and client-ready deliverables matter more than owning one technical model.

P&C actuarial consulting internship in New York for students graduating in 2028 or 2029. You’ll support reserving, pricing, loss forecasting, risk financing, financial modelling, benchmarking, and transaction work for insurance and related clients. The hybrid role expects at least three days per week in the office.

Requirements

Must have

  • Candidates must have permanent, unrestricted U.S. work authorization (no sponsorship available)
  • Class of 2028 or 2029

Strongly preferred

  • Pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  • Interest in corresponding CAS track
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently
  • Technical skills: Excel; familiarity with R, Python, SQL, SAS, or VBA
