Senior client-facing actuarial consultant
Closer to client-facing consulting leadership than a modelling-heavy IC role—the deciding factor is commercial ownership of relationships, growth and engagement outcomes.
Director-level P&C actuarial consulting role in Boston, with other US office options. You will lead complex client engagements across reserving, pricing, predictive modelling, capital modelling, business development, and AI-enabled modernization while managing teams and senior relationships.
Requirements
Must have
- ACAS or FCAS credential
Strongly preferred
- BA/BS degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field
- 10+ years of actuarial consulting or insurance industry experience within Property & Casualty
- Demonstrated success managing client relationships and leading complex engagements
- Proven business development experience including generating new opportunities and expanding client relationships
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence diverse audiences
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a client-oriented mindset
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Nice to have
- Experience leveraging AI technologies, automation tools, or advanced analytics within actuarial or consulting environments
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or similar analytical tools
- Experience working with cross-functional technology or engineering teams
- Thought leadership or industry visibility through publications, speaking engagements, or professional organizations
