Senior P&C actuarial consulting role with Oliver Wyman’s M&A team, listed in Hartford and flexible across the Northeast US/Canada. You’ll support insurance and reinsurance transactions through actuarial due diligence, stochastic downside-risk analysis, data interpretation, executive reporting, and client presentations.
Requirements
Must have
- FCAS credential
Strongly preferred
- BA/BS degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance or related field
- 3+ years of professional actuarial experience in consulting or insurance
- Broad exposure to P&C insurance in pricing, reserving, data & analytics, or risk management
- Subject matter expertise in at least one area of P&C insurance
- Ability to lead and manage projects, including effective delegation and client solution development
- Proficiency in Python or R
- Ability to deliver against tight deadlines in fast-paced, demanding environments
- Detail oriented and ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
- Evidence of intellectual curiosity and ability to think strategically and creatively
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial attitude, not afraid of long hours
- Strong communication skills
