Role type

Client-facing actuarial consulting leader

Closer to client-facing consulting than a modelling-heavy individual contributor role, because commercial growth and senior relationship ownership are explicit parts of the mandate.

Principal-level P&C actuarial consulting role in New York, with other listed US office locations. You will lead complex client engagements across reserving, pricing, predictive modeling, and economic capital, while driving business development, mentoring teams, and modernizing delivery through analytics, automation, and AI.

Requirements

Must have

  • BA/BS degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field
  • ACAS or FCAS credential

Strongly preferred

  • 10+ years of actuarial consulting or insurance industry experience within P&C
  • Demonstrated success managing client relationships and leading complex engagements
  • Proven business development experience, including generating new opportunities and expanding client relationships
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

Nice to have

  • Experience leveraging AI technologies, automation tools, or advanced analytics within actuarial or consulting environments
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or similar analytical tools
  • Experience working with cross-functional technology or engineering teams
  • Thought leadership or industry visibility through publications, speaking engagements, or professional organizations
