Role Summary

Role type

Client-facing actuarial consulting leader

Closer to client-facing consulting than an in-house specialist role because relationship ownership and business development are as important as actuarial delivery.

Director-level P&C actuarial consulting role in Houston, Texas, with other US office options. You will lead complex insurer and corporate engagements spanning reserving, pricing, predictive analytics, and economic capital modeling, while driving business development, team leadership, and AI-enabled modernization.

Requirements

Must have

  • BA/BS degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field
  • ACAS or FCAS credential
  • 10+ years of actuarial consulting or insurance industry experience within Property & Casualty
  • Demonstrated success managing client relationships and leading complex engagements
  • Proven business development experience, including generating new opportunities and expanding client relationships
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a client-oriented mindset
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

Nice to have

  • Experience leveraging AI technologies, automation tools, or advanced analytics
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, SQL
  • Experience working with cross-functional technology or engineering teams
  • Thought leadership or industry visibility
