Client-facing actuarial consultant

Closer to client-facing consulting than a modelling-heavy IC role because stakeholder requirements and practical implementation matter alongside technical analysis.

Associate-level P&C actuarial consulting role in Charlotte, North Carolina, with New York City and Chicago also preferred. You will support client projects spanning pricing, reserving, capital modeling, actuarial modernization, automation, and AI-enabled workflows. The role requires at least one year of actuarial experience and three passed CAS exams, with a stated base salary of $85,000-$130,000.

Requirements

Must have

  • Minimum of 3 passed actuarial exams

Strongly preferred

  • BA/BS degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or related field
  • 1+ years of actuarial experience
  • Commitment to pursuing CAS actuarial credentials
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and intellectual curiosity
  • Advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Experience utilizing AI technologies for modeling and analytics

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of programming languages (Python, R, SQL)
