Role type

Client-facing actuarial consultant

Closer to client-facing consulting than a modelling-heavy IC role—the project and stakeholder context determines how technical work is applied.

Associate-level P&C actuarial consulting role in New York, with Chicago and other Oliver Wyman offices also considered. You’ll support client projects spanning pricing, reserving, capital modeling, actuarial modernization, automation, and AI-enabled workflows, working with actuaries, engineers, and data scientists.

Requirements

Must have

  • Minimum of 3 passed actuarial exams

Strongly preferred

  • BA/BS degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Stats, Economics, Finance, or related
  • 1+ years of actuarial experience
  • Commitment to pursuing CAS actuarial credentials
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and intellectual curiosity
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Experience with AI technologies for modeling and analytics

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Python, R, or SQL
