Role type

Client-facing actuarial consultant

Closer to client-facing consulting than a modelling-heavy IC role because workstream leadership and practical recommendations matter as much as technical model development.

Manager-level P&C actuarial consulting role in Chicago, with New York and other Oliver Wyman offices also considered. You will lead client workstreams spanning pricing, reserving, capital modeling, actuarial modernization, and AI-enabled analytics while working with multidisciplinary teams and senior client stakeholders.

Requirements

Must have

  • BA/BS degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related field

Strongly preferred

  • 3+ years of actuarial experience
  • Commitment to pursuing CAS actuarial credentials with a minimum of 5 passed actuarial exams
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and intellectual curiosity
  • Advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet project objectives and deadlines
  • Experience utilizing AI technologies for modeling and analytics
  • Knowledge of programming languages (Python, R, SQL)
