Client-facing actuarial consultant

Closer to consulting than a modelling-heavy IC role because client recommendations and workstream delivery matter as much as technical model development.

Actuarial Manager role in Oliver Wyman’s P&C consulting practice, based in Charlotte with New York City and Chicago as primary preferred locations. You’ll lead client workstreams spanning pricing, reserving, capital modeling, actuarial modernization, automation, and AI-enabled solutions. The hybrid pattern expects at least three days per week in a local office or with clients.

Requirements

Must have

  • BA/BS degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or related field

Strongly preferred

  • 3+ years of actuarial experience
  • Minimum 5 passed actuarial exams, with commitment to CAS credentials
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and intellectual curiosity
  • Advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Experience utilizing AI technologies for modeling and analytics
  • Knowledge of programming languages (Python, R, SQL)
