Role type

Client-facing actuarial consultant

Closer to client-facing consulting than an in-house modelling role—the work spans transformation projects and executive recommendations across clients.

Manager-level P&C actuarial consulting role in New York or Chicago, with other Oliver Wyman offices considered. You will lead client workstreams spanning pricing, reserving, capital modeling, actuarial modernization, automation, and AI-enabled solutions, while advising stakeholders and guiding junior colleagues.

Requirements

Must have

  • Minimum of 5 passed actuarial exams (pursuing CAS credentials)

Strongly preferred

  • BA/BS degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years of actuarial experience
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
  • Advanced Excel proficiency
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Experience with AI technologies for modeling and analytics
  • Knowledge of programming languages (Python, R, SQL)
