Generalist in a lean team
Closer to a lean-team generalist than a narrow pricing specialist—the first actuarial hire spans pricing, reserving, reinsurance, automation, and partner work.
Senior P&C pricing and reserving role in Dayton, Ohio, at an insurance MGA. As Authentic’s first dedicated actuarial hire, you’ll own rate adequacy, claims reporting, loss development, program pricing, and reinsurance analysis while partnering with carriers, brokers, reinsurers, underwriting, data, and engineering teams.
Requirements
Strongly preferred
- ACAS or near-ACAS with path to credential
- 4+ years of property & casualty actuarial experience in both reserving and pricing
- Commercial lines exposure (general liability, property, workers' compensation, auto, umbrella)
- Comfortable with imperfect and incomplete data
- Ability to present technical conclusions to non-actuarial audiences
Nice to have
- Program business, MGA/MGU, fronting, or delegated authority experience
