Role Summary

Role type

Pricing partner to underwriting

Closer to a pricing-underwriting partner than a modelling-heavy IC: the analysis supports case pricing and underwriting decisions, while model work is collaborative.

Associate P&C pricing role in New York supporting reinsurance pricing and underwriting decisions. You’ll prepare data, produce draft pricing results, validate rate changes, and help develop and calibrate pricing models, with occasional reserving support. The role offers a $100,000-$140,000 salary range and requires at least two CAS exams plus 2-3 years of relevant experience.

Requirements

Must have

  • At least 2 CAS exams passed and making good progress towards ACAS/FCAS
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Must be eligible to work in New York

Strongly preferred

  • University degree in math, computer science, physics or similar
  • Experience with reinsurance pricing (preferred)
  • Experience with ISO/Verisk data products (preferred)
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills
  • Strong IT skills, particularly MS Excel, VBA and SQL experience (desirable)

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (MS Power BI or QlikView) (desirable)
  • Programming in R or Python (desirable)
