Pricing partner to underwriting
Closer to a pricing-underwriting partner than a modelling-heavy IC because client, RFP, and underwriting decisions are central to the role.
Senior remote Health actuarial role at Prime Therapeutics, a pharmacy benefit manager. You’ll provide pricing and underwriting support across Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid business, develop complex models and analyses, advise clients and executives, and mentor actuarial staff.
Requirements
Must have
- 8 years of actuarial work experience
- 6 years of experience in a healthcare organization or PBM
- Actuarial designation (ASA or FSA)
- Eligible to work in the US without visa or residency sponsorship
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Actuarial Science, Economics, or Finance
Strongly preferred
- Advanced level of proficiency in Excel
- Intermediate level of proficiency in SAS, SQL, or VBA
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent quantitative, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Nice to have
- Previous pricing experience in Commercial, Medicare, or Medicaid lines
- 5 years of experience in SAS, SQL, or VBA
- Previous experience in model building and underwriting or risk adjusted rate setting/model development
- Previous experience designing and implementing innovative business solutions to pharmacy benefit challenges
- 8 years of actuarial work experience in a healthcare organization or PBM
