Pricing partner to underwriting
Closer to a pricing and underwriting partner than a modelling-heavy IC because client, RFP, underwriting, and executive interaction are explicit.
Senior remote Health actuarial role with Prime Therapeutics, a pharmacy benefit manager. You will support pricing across Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid business, develop complex actuarial models and analyses, advise clients and executives, and lead visible projects. The role requires 8 years of actuarial experience, including 6 in healthcare or PBM, plus an ASA or FSA.
Requirements
Must have
- Must be eligible to work in the US without visa or residency sponsorship
Strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Actuarial Science, Economics or Finance
- 8 years of actuarial work experience
- 6 years of actuarial experience in a healthcare organization or PBM
- Actuarial designation (ASA or FSA)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Intermediate proficiency in SAS, SQL, or VBA
- Excellent quantitative, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong client consulting presence
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
Nice to have
- Experience pricing Commercial, Medicare or Medicaid lines of business
- Experience in model building, underwriting, risk adjusted rate setting, or model development
- 5 years of experience in SAS, SQL, or VBA
