Role type

Reinsurance pricing partner to brokers

Closer to a live pricing and underwriting partner than a modelling-heavy individual contributor because analyses are used in reinsurance transactions and broker relationships.

Senior P&C reinsurance actuarial role in Dallas, supporting reinsurance structuring and pricing. You’ll analyze client risk, build MetaRisk analyses, advise brokers and clients, and guide junior colleagues in a hybrid role requiring at least three office days weekly.

Requirements

Strongly preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Data Science, Economics, Accounting, Physics, or a related field
  • 2+ years of actuarial or related experience in underwriting, brokerage, or P&C insurance
  • At least one actuarial exam completed
  • Curious, proactive, and growth-oriented, with the ability to lead internal initiatives and research projects to completion
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to brokers and clients
  • Collaborative, team-oriented, and proficient in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office products

Nice to have

  • 1+ year of experience or internship in insurance or reinsurance
  • Progress towards CAS track
  • Familiarity with R, Python, SQL, Alteryx, or Power BI
