Senior Actuarial Associate (The Prudential Insurance Company of America, Newark, NJ):

Pricing new cases and modifications to inforce cases for all Stable Value wrap types. Review underwriting characteristics, including behavioral assumptions and cash flow history. Test and document the accuracy of model improvements and conversions. Analyze new product development opportunities to assess feasibility. Execute valuation responsibilities and other quarterly refreshes. Partner with business, underwriting, assumptions and modeling teams to drive pricing improvements and new product initiatives. Build and improve dashboards for more insightful analysis and reporting to the business side.

Telecommuting permitted up to 4 days a week.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, and 3 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience; OR a Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, and 1 year of related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in each of the following:

  • Scripting with VBA programming language;
  • Utilizing Microsoft Excel to summarize results, build ad hoc models, test models, and troubleshoot results;
  • Visualization of results and analysis using PowerBI;
  • Coding with Python or VBA languages to automate processes;
  • Database building and manipulation using SQL or Access.

Must have passed at least four (4) Society of Actuaries exams.
