Senior life actuarial role focused on enterprise finance and actuarial projects. You will lead large-scale model development, implement reporting and regulatory methodologies, and support economic capital and liability frameworks. The position is senior (FSA required) and is based in Newport Beach, CA (also open to Omaha, NE or Charlotte, NC) with a 4 days onsite / 1 day remote hybrid pattern.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead enterprise finance and actuarial transformation projects for life and annuity lines
- Implement new actuarial reporting methodologies for internal and external frameworks
- Drive model development, conversions, and large-scale actuarial changes
- Use Python, R, VBA, and SQL; work with Snowflake and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau)
- Hybrid role – 4 days in office, 1 day remote (Newport Beach, CA; Omaha, NE; Charlotte, NC)
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Regulatory and management reporting frameworks
- Economic value and economic capital experience
- Risk-neutral and real-world liabilities and assumption setting
- Model development and conversion projects
- Working with Snowflake or Oracle databases
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- FSA designation required
- 6+ years of actuarial experience
- Experience with regulatory and management reporting and economic capital
- Hands-on experience with Python, R, VBA, and SQL
- Experience with Snowflake and Power BI or Tableau
