HIGHLIGHTS

Senior life actuarial role on Pacific Life's Enterprise Finance & Actuarial Projects team. You will lead enterprise-level finance and actuarial transformation, model development and reporting (regulatory and management), and mentor junior staff. Senior-level position based in Omaha, NE (onsite 4 days/week; also available in Newport Beach, CA or Charlotte, NC).

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Lead enterprise finance and actuarial transformation projects
  • Implement new actuarial reporting requirements and methodologies
  • Support model development, conversions and large-scale changes
  • Mentor and train junior actuarial staff
  • Hybrid role — on-site 4 days/week (Omaha, Newport Beach, or Charlotte)

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • Actuarial experience in life/annuity products
  • Regulatory and management reporting including economic capital
  • Model development platforms and data processes
  • Programming in Python, R, Visual Basic and SQL
  • BI tools and databases (Power BI/Tableau; Snowflake/Oracle)

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • 6+ years of actuarial experience and FSA designation
  • Working knowledge of regulatory and management reporting frameworks
  • Experience with economic capital, risk-neutral and real-world liabilities
  • Programming experience in Python, R, VBA and SQL
  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI/Tableau) and Snowflake/Oracle
