Role type

Pricing partner to underwriting

Closer to an underwriting partnership role than a pure modelling seat because pricing recommendations are developed with Product and Underwriting for live program growth.

Senior P&C actuarial role on State Farm’s Sharing Economy team, with work spanning personal and commercial auto pricing, predictive analysis, and underwriting support. You’ll translate platform data into pricing recommendations and collaborate with Product, Underwriting, Claims, and Loss Reserve. The hybrid role is available in Bloomington, IL; Dunwoody, GA; Richardson, TX; or Tempe, AZ.

Requirements

Must have

  • Eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship

Strongly preferred

  • At least 2 years of experience working with or for a gig or sharing economy company
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Management, or another analytical field
  • Experience with data and statistical analysis in Excel, SQL, R, and/or Python
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, leadership, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Successful completion of at least three SOA or CAS exams
  • Commitment to earn and/or maintain Continuing Education for ACAS/FCAS
