Pricing partner to underwriting

Closer to a pricing and underwriting partner than a reserving/reporting role—the ad emphasizes live A&H decisions, profitability, and product strategy.

Senior Health actuarial pricing role supporting Zurich North America's Accident & Health business in Schaumburg, Illinois, with hybrid work and other office options. You will lead pricing, product development, rate filings, profitability analysis, and reserve work while partnering with underwriters and business stakeholders.

Requirements

Strongly preferred

  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associate's Degree
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Actuarial Sciences
  • 5+ years of actuarial experience
  • FCAS/FSA or equivalent international certification
  • 10+ years of actuarial experience
  • ACAS/ASA or equivalent international certification

Nice to have

  • Experience with A&H product development, pricing, filing, and experience monitoring
  • Team leadership experience and desire to lead
  • Ability to effectively communicate and partner with the business
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to explain technical analysis results to non-technical audiences
  • Collaboration experience on cross-functional teams
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and/or statistical analysis software and dashboard development
