Closer to a pricing and underwriting partner than a reserving cycle role—the emphasis is live growth opportunities rather than recurring valuation close.
Senior Health actuarial underwriting role in Denver, Colorado, supporting pricing and new-business evaluation across commercial, Medicaid, and other health markets. You’ll refine opportunity models, assess contract terms, partner with Finance and Growth teams, and present insights to internal and external stakeholders. The role requires 2+ years of experience and three completed actuarial exams, with hybrid-remote flexibility.
Requirements
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- 2+ years experience in Actuarial services, Healthcare Economics, or related field
- Minimum three completed actuarial exams
- Internet connectivity at minimum 3.8/3.0 Mbps up/down with latency under 60 ms
- Must be authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship
Strongly preferred
- Ability to travel and be onsite to meet business needs
- Experience with CMS shared savings programs
Nice to have
- Experience applying or reviewing medical claim grouper logic
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience in value-based care
- Experience in Commercial, Medicaid, or Medicare analysis
- Experience using advanced Microsoft Excel functions and SQL
