Closer to a pricing and underwriting partner than a modelling-heavy IC because the work is tied to live opportunities, contracts, and client presentations.
Senior Health actuarial underwriting role in the United States with hybrid-remote flexibility. You’ll evaluate new Commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare business opportunities, assess contract terms, refine pricing models, and present insights to internal and external partners. The role suits an actuarial professional with at least two years of experience and three completed exams.
Requirements
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- 2+ years experience in Actuarial services, Healthcare Economics, or related field
- Minimum three completed actuarial exams
- Internet connectivity minimum speeds: 3.8Mbps/3.0Mbps (up/down); latency <60 ms
- Ability to travel and be onsite to meet business needs
- No work visa sponsorship available
Strongly preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience in value-based care
- Experience with CMS shared savings programs
- Experience in Commercial, Medicaid or Medicare analysis
- Experience using advanced Microsoft Excel functions and SQL
Nice to have
- Experience applying or reviewing medical claim grouper logic
