Closer to client-facing consulting than a modelling-heavy IC role because engagement leadership and financial client contact are central.

Senior Health actuarial consulting role in Boston, focused on employer health benefits strategy, pricing, plan design, financial projections, and renewals. You will lead client engagements, act as a primary financial contact, review complex analyses, and guide junior staff. The hybrid role requires at least three days per week in the office and offers a base salary of $93,500-$145,000.

Requirements

Must have

  • BA/BS degree in actuarial science, math, statistics, finance, economics, or related field
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in an actuarial field
  • Health and benefits consulting experience
  • At least 3 days per week in the office (hybrid)

Strongly preferred

  • Proven progress toward ASA designation
  • Client-facing experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Nice to have

  • Strong programming skills in R and Python for data manipulation, actuarial/financial modeling, and automation
  • ASA credential
