Client-facing actuarial consultant
Closer to client-facing consulting than an in-house reserving cycle role—the deciding factor is bespoke client advice and relationship development.
Senior P&C actuarial consulting role in the Claims Consulting Practice, listed in Chicago and available from any US Marsh office. You will deliver bespoke reserving and liability analyses, build advanced actuarial tools, advise clients, and lead project work in a three-days-per-week hybrid model.
Requirements
Strongly preferred
- 5+ years of P&C actuarial experience
- Strong reserving background
- Bachelor's degree in math, statistics, economics, or actuarial science
- Strong attention to detail
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Proven ability to manage several projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint
Nice to have
- ACAS preferred
- FCAS preferred
- Experience with Python, R, VBA, or SQL
- Ability to take initiatives to improve analytics techniques
- Statistics skills including GLM, Bayesian probability, and machine learning
