Client-facing actuarial consulting
Closer to consulting than an internal reserving cycle role because client recommendations, relationship development, and simultaneous project delivery drive the work.
VP-level P&C actuarial consulting role in the Claims Consulting Practice, available from Marsh offices across the US, including Columbus, Georgia. You will deliver client reserving and liability analysis, build bespoke models and analytics tools, lead projects, review analyst work, and help expand practice methods and relationships. The role is hybrid, with at least three days per week in the office.
Requirements
Strongly preferred
- 5+ years of P&C actuarial experience with strong reserving background
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, actuarial science or related field
- Strong attention to detail and analytical & problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Proven ability to manage several projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Nice to have
- ACAS or FCAS designation
- Experience with Python, R, VBA, or SQL
- Ability to take initiatives to improve analytics techniques, process and output
- Statistics skills including GLM, Bayesian probability, and machine-learning techniques
