Client-facing health consulting leader

Closer to client-facing consulting than a modelling-heavy individual contributor role because recommendations, presentations and engagement ownership are central.

Senior Health Actuary consulting role in Boston, focused on employer health benefits strategy and financial analysis. You’ll lead client engagements involving plan design, carrier selection, renewal negotiations, cost projections and IBNP valuations, while directing junior staff and presenting recommendations to clients. The role is hybrid, with at least three days per week in the office.

Requirements

Must have

  • 15+ years experience in actuarial field
  • ASA or FSA credential
  • BA/BS degree in actuarial science, math, stats, finance, economics or related field

Strongly preferred

  • Consulting experience preferred
  • Strong analytical skills (quantitative and qualitative)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proven project management skills
  • Creative problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work in teams and flexible under tight deadlines
