Staff-level Life actuarial role with the Life Valuation Special Projects team in a hybrid US hub location. You’ll improve valuation processes, models, data infrastructure, reporting, controls, and automation while supporting strategic initiatives across actuarial, finance, data, and technology. The role requires an ASA and five years of relevant experience, with a salary of $100,000-$125,000 plus a discretionary 12.5% bonus.
Requirements
Must have
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or related field and 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's in a listed discipline and 3 years of relevant experience
ASA or equivalent professional designation
Hybrid work: three days per week in office in one of the hub locations (Cedar Rapids, Baltimore, Philadelphia, or Denver)
Strongly preferred
Advanced computer skills
Experience in life valuation, financial reporting, assumption development, or actuarial modeling
Exposure to US GAAP, statutory reporting, principle-based reserving, or related valuation frameworks
Experience with business process improvement, automation, or transformation initiatives
Strong data analytics skills, including experience with SQL, Python, Power BI, or similar tools
Nice to have
Familiarity with actuarial modeling platforms such as AXIS or comparable systems
Experience developing management reporting, dashboards, or analytical solutions
