Summer Life actuarial internship with State Farm in Bloomington, Illinois, with an additional hub in Richardson, Texas. Interns analyze insurance risk and financial needs, support innovative life product pricing methods, and research industry trends while developing technical and business skills. The 10-week role is hybrid, with at least two office days per week, and requires one completed SOA exam.

Requirements

Must have

Currently enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or post-graduate program for the internship duration
3.5 GPA preferred; 3.25 minimum required
Successful completion of at least one Society of Actuaries actuarial exam
Eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; employer will not sponsor for work authorization
Available throughout entire summer internship (June 2 – August 11, 2027) with minimal disruptions
Reside within the continental U.S. for the duration of the internship

Strongly preferred

Major in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Management or other analytical field
Intention to earn the ASA/FSA designation
Experience with data and statistical analysis in Excel, SQL, R, and/or Python
Strong communication, interpersonal, organization, leadership, and critical thinking skills
