Summer Life/Health actuarial internship in Bloomington, Illinois, with a second hub in Richardson, Texas. You’ll analyze insurance product risk and financial needs, research industry trends, and help develop pricing methods using Excel, SQL, R, and/or Python. The role includes training, mentoring, leadership opportunities, and actuarial exam raises.

Requirements

Must have

  • Minimum 3.25 GPA required
  • Full-time student enrolled in degree program throughout internship
  • Eligible to work in US without sponsorship
  • Reside in continental US during internship

Strongly preferred

  • Major in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, Data Science, or related analytical field
  • Experience with data analysis in Excel, SQL, R, or Python
  • Intention to earn ASA or FSA designation
  • At least one SOA actuarial exam passed
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, leadership, and critical thinking skills
  • Available for entire 10-week summer internship (6/2-8/11/2027)

Nice to have

  • 3.5 GPA preferred
