Executive life reinsurance role as SVP, Chief Actuary in Orlando, FL reporting to the CFO. JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Lead corporate actuarial for a life reinsurance company, reporting to the CFO
  • Own US statutory, IFRS17 and Solvency II valuation processes and actuarial opinions
  • Drive principle-based reserving implementation and model governance
  • Manage and develop actuarial teams; recruit and retain senior talent
  • Travel up to 25% domestic and international

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • life reinsurance leadership and valuation
  • IFRS17 and Solvency II valuation/implementation
  • US statutory reserving and actuarial opinions (AG38,53,55)
  • AG48 captive reserving and captive actuarial opinion experience
  • tax reserves and actuarial provisions oversight

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and MAAA qualified to issue actuarial opinions
  • Minimum 15 years actuarial experience with at least 10 years of leadership
  • Deep experience in valuation, reserving, IFRS17 and Solvency II
  • Proven reinsurance experience preferred (reinsurance/regulatory frameworks)
  • Ability to liaise with regulators, auditors and international affiliates
